Madhya Pradesh: Revenue Dept Official Caught Swallowing Bribe After Spotting Cops

A patwari of the revenue department in Madhya Pradesh was caught accepting bribe and swallowing it after he spot a team of the Lokayukta's Special Police Establishment.

Patwari Gajendra Singh accepts bribe and swallows it after spotting cops in Katni, Madhya Pradesh

A revenue department official in Katni, Madhya Pradesh was caught swallowing money which he received as a bribe after he spot a team of the Lokayukta's Special Police Establishment.

According to a report by PTI, SPE Superintendent of Police Sanjay Sahu said that as part of a trap patwari Gajendra Singh was offered bribe of Rs 5,000 in his private office which he accepted and he swallowed it after spotting the SPE team.

Sahu told the media, "A man from Barkheda village had complained to us claiming Singh was seeking a bribe. After he received the money, the patwari spotted the SPE team and swallowed the money. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors said he was fine."

The SP also informed PTI that a case has been registered against him and a further probe was underway.
