Lahul and Spiti districts of India are warned of flash floods and avalanches by the India Meteorological Department on Saturday. The IMD issued a red alert for the districts as well.
According to the latest reports, a portion of the national highway in Kullu of Himachal Pradesh was washed away following massive landslides. The highway was along the river Beas and the damage to the highway was triggered by the heavy rainfall in the state. Several people are stranded along the highway which has disrupted the traffic between Mandi and Kullu.
Reportedly 133 roads are closed in Himachal Pradesh currently and the administration of Kullu has postponed the Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra till July 11.

The tourists stranded in Chandra Taal, Pagal Nala and Maling Nala in Himachal Pradesh are safe and well, informed RS Bali, Chairman of the state Tourism Department in an official statement.
IMD statement read that due to continuous rainfall in these areas of Himachal Pradesh, there might be a great possibility of flash floods and avalanches.
IMD issued a red alert for seven districts of Himachal Pradesh that included Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur and Bilaspur. The rest of the districts like Shimla, Solan and Kullu had orange warnings from IMD for the next 48 hours.
Alerts for flash floods, landslides and shooting of stones were also issued by the IMD for Himachal Pradesh.

According to the reports, following incessant rains in the Khera district of HP, the falling of a tree on a road that connects National Highway 105 was blocked. The highway connected Manpura and Nalagarh. It was cleared by the officials later and normal traffic was resumed.
In an official statement, it was notified that a railway track between Koti and Sanwara Railway station at Tunnel No. 10 was closed on Thursday due to floods after heavy rain in Shimla.
