A Delhi court on Saturday discharged activist Sharjeel Imam in a case related to violence in Delhi's Jamia Nagar area in 2019.
The court also discharged activist Asif Iqbad Tanha in the same case. The detailed order in the case is awaited.
However, Sharjeel will continue to be in jail as he also an accused in the 2020 Delhi Riots. He is accused in the larger conspiracy case in which he and others accused of causing riots out of a conspiracy.
