Ekta Kapoor has been one of the more prolific filmmakers in Bollywood. She has been constantly telling stories which showcase female empowerment to the core. Not only that, she tries to always draw inspiration from real-life incidents and stories for all her projects.
Talking about female-driven stories getting more impetus in today’s times, Ekta Kapoor says, “50% of the world is made up of women so that is bound to happen. So far we have ignored the female audience and we’ve always considered males to be the audience but now with the empowered women of today, as content creators, we draw inspiration from real-life events and individuals. Whether it's the writer, director, or producer, we observe our surroundings for ideas.”

“However, the beauty of our craft lies in blending reality with fiction seamlessly. When the lines between fact and fiction are blurred, it creates a successful piece of content. Our viewers should not be able to differentiate between what is real and what is created. Achieving this level of authenticity is crucial for any content creator,” concludes Ekta Kapoor.
