Aniruddh Dave Appointed As ECI’s State Icon For Voter Awareness And Education

Actor Aniruddh Dave will be now actively interacting and encouraging the youth. He has been appointed as ECI’s latest state Icon for Voter Awareness and Education, for the upcoming elections from Uttarakhand.

For the unversed, Aniruddh Dave has been known to always play characters in shows and series that talk about social awareness. From essaying the role of the robot Y.A.R.O to Hanuman Singh of Patiala Babes, the actor has always played meaningful roles. He was seen in the film based on a Dalit character in ‘Quota’.

As part of his role as the state icon for Voter Awareness and Education, the actor will promote and encourage the youth of the country to utilise their right to vote in the elections.

Talking about this new direction in his career, Aniruddh Dave says, “The youth of India will decide the future of the nation, so they should be active and participate in the biggest opportunity of our democratic country. When I am not shooting, I would prefer, meeting the youth in person in colleges, institutions, and corporates and educating them.”

“The Election Commission of India is doing its best for the country to educate people about their right to vote. The power of youth is to cast the vote. I am grateful to the Chief Electoral Officer Dr. V Shanmugam for giving me this biggest social awareness responsibility,” he adds.

Talking about the country’s democracy and political scene, he says, “India is a democratic country and one must participate in the election, using our right to vote. I appeal to all the young, dynamic 18-plus-year-old youth from all walks of life to be part of the elections. I will promote the value of the vote by pushing up voter turnout in elections.”

On the work front, Aniruddh Dave would now be seen on the big screen next in Kabir Khan’s ‘Chandu Champion’ and ‘Kaagaz 2’.
