'Dream Girl 2' that released in theatres on August 25 saw an improvement in its collection on day 3. The Ayushmann Khurrana starrer opened with Rs 10. 69 crore and on day 2, it collected Rs 14 crore. On day 3, on Sunday, the comedy-drama saw growth as it raked in over Rs 40 crore at the domestic box office.
As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Dream Girl 2' earned Rs 16 crore nett, taking the total collection to Rs 40. 71 nett in its first weekend. The film is expected to collect Rs 5 crore nett on Monday.
On its first Sunday, 'Dream Girl 2' witnessed an overall 48.85 per cent Hindi occupancy. During the morning shows, it witnessed 24.69 per cent occupancy within the Hindi market. During the day it rose to 54.01 per cent, especially in the afternoon shows and then it increased to 66.80 per cent for the evening shows. The night shows dropped as it recorded an occupancy of 49.89 per cent.

Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, 'Dream Girl 2' is a sequel to Ayushmann Khurrana’s 2019 hit of the same title. He has reprised the role of Karamveer aka Karam. He disguises himself as Pooja in order to make money so that he can marry his love interest, Ananya Panday.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Vijay Raaz, Annu Kapoor, Seema Pahwa, Manoj Joshi, Abhishek Banerjee and Manjot Singh in pivotal roles.
