Solid knocks from Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues, backed up by a three-wicket haul from Titas Sadhu was enough for India to clinch a historic gold at the Asian Games Women's T20I cricket match final in Hangzhou. Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur elected to bat first as India posted 116 for seven in 20 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka's batters never got going as Titas Sadhu ran through their batting followed it up by Rajeshwari Gayakwad's two crucial wickets as the Lankans could only muster 97/8. This is India's maiden gold medal in cricket at the Asian Games.
