Lando Norris believes winning the Formula One drivers' championship is the only achievement that could better his "beautiful" victory at the British Grand Prix.
Norris earned his first victory at Silverstone on Sunday, benefitting from a 10-second grid penalty for team-mate Oscar Piastri as he led McLaren's fifth one-two of 2025.
Piastri was punished for erratic braking when racing resumed after a safety car in wet and wild conditions, with pole-sitter Max Verstappen spinning out of contention in the aftermath of the incident.
While Piastri was furious about the penalty, it opened the door for Norris to inch closer to his team-mate in the drivers' championship standings with his fourth win of the season.
Speaking to Channel 4 after receiving the trophy, Norris said the victory – his eighth in F1 overall – was his most memorable to date.
"It's beautiful. It's everything I dreamed of, I guess... everything I've ever wanted to achieve," Norris said.
"Apart from a championship, I think this is as good as it gets in terms of feelings and in terms of an achievement, being proud, all of it.
"Your mind just goes pretty blank. Everything you might think before the race, you forget. The main thing is just don't f*** it up, that's rule number one.
"The last few laps I was just looking into the crowd. I was just trying to take it all in and enjoy the moment, because it might never happen again.
"I hope it does, but these are memories that I'll keep with me forever. An incredible achievement."
Norris is the 36th different driver to win a grand prix in their home country and the first British driver other than Lewis Hamilton (a nine-time victor) to triumph at Silverstone since David Coulthard in 2000.
Speaking to 2009 drivers' champion Jenson Button, who never managed a victory at Silverstone, Norris continued: "This is where it all started for me.
"I was actually watching you on TV many years ago and now, thankfully, I've been able to have my go.
"It was an incredible race, stressful as always, but the support from the fans made the difference today, so I've got to thank them for it all."
Norris trails Piastri by just eight points in the drivers' championship following back-to-back wins, while McLaren hold a huge 238-point advantage over Ferrari in the team standings.
