American Teenage Sensation Ilia Malinin Makes Figure Skating History, Wins Grand Prix Final - In Pics

American figure skating sensation Ilia Malinin won his first-ever ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating final as he scripted figure skating history. The 19-year-old teenager became the first-ever to land a quadruple axel, widely considered as the most difficult jump in the figure skating sport, during a short program, whilst competing at the prestigious events in China. At the event, Malinin registered a career-best score of 207.76 to win the title. He finished with a total of 314.66 points, another personal best, ahead of Japan’s Uno Shoma, the defending champion, who scored 297.34 points.
