Here’s Sweeping at You, Kids Are they serious, thinking that celebrities' taking up the broom would encourage really smart aam admis? Don't they know Bollywood is just a frothy fantasia, and swallowed as such? At the launch of Cleanthon, NDTV's Prannoy Roy and Vikram Chandra pose with Priyanka, Big B and UTV's Ronnie Screwvala may piously differ. Let's give them a hand.

With Players Of Democracy's Greatest Game Here's an award that went to a richly deserved organisation. The NDTV Indian of the Year award was awarded to an organisation—India's Election Commission—that has overseen, five-year after five-year, the world's largest elections that's more than just polls—celebration, fiesta and a dangerous adventure all bundled in one. At the awards ceremony, NDTV boss Prannoy Roy poses with seven chief election commissioners.

President's Own Men One more award for the high-achieving persons perhaps didn't mean much to them individually, but collectively they make a great group photograph. The 25 Greatest Global Living Indian Legends ceremony saw a rare assemblage—actors (Big B, Rajni), economists (Amartya), scientists (C.N.R. Rao, V. Ramakrishnan), sportsmen (Paes, Kapil, Sachin), musicians (Rahman, Zubin Mehta), writers (Vikram Seth) were all honoured. We all were promised an Indian version of BBC by NDTV, the channel that sponsored the conclave.
