Manya set up Morphedo, a 3D printing and additive manufacturing company, in a temporary shed on the BIMTECH campus (where she’s studying for an MBA) with younger batchmates, who did a pilot test and market survey for the start-up in the metros. With only a few players in this field globally, it was a big risk to take. The group has procured machines and started manufacturing Mini-mes—miniatures of people using poly-lactic acid and biodegradable plastic. “Our aim is to be the biggest on-demand manufacturers—to provide customised products designed and manufactured to customer specifications,” she says.
