Deepmala is the Director of The GI Store and the Chaitanya Prabha Foundation, an initiative focused on promoting authentic Geographical Indication (GI)tagged products from across India. With extensive experience in sustainable livelihoods, rural entrepreneurship, and social enterprise management, she works to empower traditional artisans, weavers, and agricultural producers by expanding their market access. Her writing draws on her field experience and advocacy background to analyse indigenous craft preservation, GI tag commercialisation, fair trade supply chains, and rural economic development.
