Sometimes publicity can fool. Unlike its posters, Oops! is not merely about flesh and sex. The story about Jahaan, a young dancer (Kiran Janjani), becoming a professional striptease artiste has been given a definite context: the overriding ambition and materialism of today's youngsters which also reflects in the youthspeak of the film. Unlike The Full Monty, the strip show here has a fair number of female bodies on display as well. Perhaps to tease the "masses" (does that take a masculine gender?). However, Tijori makes up for it in the climax by making Mita deliver a rousing feminist statement a la Tabu in Astitva. One grouse though: why the Dil Chahta Hai-style finale in the hospital? Since we haven't really forgotten DCH yet.
