It looks like Karan Johar is all set to bury the hatchet with Kangana Ranaut after they have been involved in a feud since 2017, soon after she appeared on his chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ and called him a ‘flag bearer of nepotism’. However, despite facing angry social media posts and attacks by Kangana for years, Karan recently mentioned how he is now excited for her upcoming film ‘Emergency’.

At the Express Adda session for The Indian Express, Karan was questioned about a political event that he wishes to watch in a film. To which, he said, "The Emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”

For the unversed, ‘Emergency’ is directed by Kangana Ranaut, and the actress also plays the lead role of the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in it.

However, Kangana has now reacted to Karan's statement about the film. Reacting to a person who wrote "Really? Change of heart” about Karan Johar's recent statement about Kangana's film, the actress responded, "Ha ha last time, when he said he was excited to see Manikarnika, the worst smear campaign of my life was unleashed upon me on its releasing weekend…"

She further wrote, “Almost all main actors working in the film were paid to sling mud on me and sabotage the film and suddenly the most successful weekend of my life turned into a living nightmare for me… Ha ha I am scared now, very scared… because he is excited again…”

Well, it looks like the feud is nowhere close to getting over.

Meanwhile, Karan also praised Sunny Deol's ‘Gadar 2’ and how it has set the box office ablaze. He said, “Gadar has blown everyone’s brains away because it was a film which was hugely successful in 2001, and now in 2023, it is breaking every record. I have been so glad for the single screens.”

Karan’s last directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ too raked in moolah at the box office.
