Shirish Kunder handles too many jobs in this film—from direction to script to editing to even background music. Perhaps that’s why it’s such a mish-mash. It’s a twisted love triangle: an estranged husband tries to hook up his wife with another man so that he can escape paying her the alimony. Kunder jazzes it all with an inventive narrative which takes you from one flashback into another. But such experimentation doesn’t take the film very far. In the first half, get some juvenile jokes on dwarfs. Second half is all copious tears. Only thing you take back from the film are the loopy laugh of Akshay and the little child who is a natural actor at one year of age.
