Sports nutrition has traditionally been associated with gym training and bodybuilding, but running events are bringing the category in front of a much wider audience. At the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon (VDHM) 2026, where more than 41,000 runners participated, including over 10,000 women, MuscleBlaze used the event's expo to connect with people whose fitness goals extend well beyond the gym.
The brand's Biozyme Performance Lab was designed around a simple idea: make sports nutrition science something runners could experience for themselves. Set up during the expo from October 15 to 17, the laboratory-themed activation featured promoters in lab coats, gloves and glasses, along with a series of activities that took visitors through a runner's journey.
The experience included sample collection, Zero Gravity, a tasting of Biozyme Iso Zero, labelled Experiment 001. Participants also received personalised lab reports. The activities brought MuscleBlaze's “Clinically Proven Sports Nutrition” positioning into a setting where preparation, endurance and recovery were already on people's minds.
Biozyme Iso Zero was among the products showcased during the activation. The 100% whey isolate delivers 27g of protein per scoop, with zero added sugar and zero artificial sweeteners. It features MB EnzymePro, which MuscleBlaze says has been clinically proven to deliver 50% higher protein absorption than regular whey.
The event itself offered a striking backdrop for the activation. Kenya's Charles Matata won the men's half marathon in 58:52, breaking the course record by one second. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah were also present at the event.
“Sports nutrition can often seem like a subject reserved for serious athletes or people who spend hours in the gym. But runners at every level have questions about nutrition, recovery and how to prepare for their next challenge. Through the Performance Lab, we wanted to create a space where they could explore these questions, experience our products and understand the thinking behind them. VDHM gave us an opportunity to bring that conversation directly to the running community,” said Kaustuv Paliwal, Senior Vice President at Bright LifeCare (Parent company of MuscleBlaze).
With running attracting participants at different levels of experience, the opportunity for sports nutrition brands is no longer limited to established gym-goers. MuscleBlaze's presence at VDHM 2026 reflects an effort to bring product education and nutrition science into the environments where people train, compete and work towards their personal fitness goals.
