Afghanistan have played two games in the tri-series and have defeated host South Africa in the second match by 47 runs. Afghanistan set a 177-run target for South Africa after Martin Khumalo's four-wicket haul. But, in response, the Proteas team bundled out for 129 runs. Openers provided a good start but Allah Ghazanfar and Arab Gul Momand took four wickets each to shine in Afghanistan's big win.

In their first face-off, India's Saumy Pandey took six wickets to restrict Afghanistan Under-19 for just 197 runs. Indian opener Adarsh Singh played an unbeaten inning of 112 runs in 107 balls to secure India's six-wicket victory in the series opener.
Indian batting top-order shined again in the second match against South Africa where openers Adarsh Singh and Arshin Kulkarni, coming at no. 3 Aravelly Avanish scored respective half-centuries to chase down a 241-run target in the 41st over with seven wickets in hand. Before that, Saumy Pandey took three wickets and Aaradhya Shukla took four wickets in the match.
