Karnataka Elections 2023: Exit Polls Give Congress An Edge Over BJP, JD (S) Could Be Kingmaker

Most Karnataka election exit polls have so far given an edge to Congress, which is either expected to secure majority or emerge as the single-largest party.

Most of the Karnataka election exit polls have so far given an edge to Congress over the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and have suggested that Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) could be kingmaker in case no one party secures majority. 

The voting in Karnataka assembly elections concluded at 6 pm on Wednesday. Karnataka voted in single-phase elections on Wednesday to elect 224-member Karnataka legislative assembly. The majority-mark is 113. 

The BJP is looking to retain power in Karnataka. On the other hand, the Congress is looking to win and mark a comeback ahead of the 2024 general elections.

India Today-Axis My India poll predicts firm Congress majority

The Congress party is set to have a firm majority in Karnataka elections, according to India Today-Axis My India exit poll.

The Congress will win 122-140 seats and the BJP will win 62-80 seats, according to the exit poll.

Zee News-Matrize poll gives Congress majority

Zee News-Matrize Karnataka elections exit poll finds that Congress has a good chance of securing majority. 

The poll says that Congress could secure 103-118 seats in the 224-member Karnataka assembly. 

The BJP is expected to win 79-94 seats and JD (S) is expected to win 25-33 seats, according to the Zee-Matrize poll.

Congress to be single-largest party: TV9-Polstrat poll

The Congress party is set to be the single-largest party with 99-109 seats, according to the TV9 Bharatvarsh-Polstrat Karnataka election exit poll.

The TV9-Polstrat poll shows the BJP would come second with 88-98 seats and JD (S) could play the role of kingmaker with 21-26 seats.

Congress largest party, JD (S) to be kingmaker: Republic/P-MARQ

Republic/P-MARQ Karnataka election exit poll shows that Congress is expected to be the single largest party with 94-108 seats. 

The BJP comes a close second with 85-100 seats and JD (S) stands to be kingmaker with 24-32 seats, according to Republic/P-MARQ exit poll.

News Nation-CGS predicts BJP victory

Going against the three Karnataka elections exit polls published so far, the News Nation-CGS poll predicts the BJP to secure majority with 114 seats.

Congress to be single-largest party: ABP/C-Voter

The ABP News/C-Voter exit poll for Karnataka assembly election predicts that Congress will be the single-largest party with 100-112 seats. 

The BJP is slated to the second-largest party with 83-95 seats, according to ABP/C-Voter survey.

Here is how ABP/C-Voter poll ranks the various sides:

Suvarna News predicts BJP majority

The Congress comes a close second with 91-106 seats and JD (S) is expected to win 14-24 seats, according to Suvarna-Jan ki Baat poll.
