Bangladesh rode Litton Das' vital half-century and Rishad Hossain's three-wicket haul to thrash Sri Lanka by 83 runs in the second T20 international at Dambulla on Sunday (July 13, 2025). With the victory, the Bangla Tigers levelled the series 1-1, going into the third and final match at Colombo.
Chasing a 178-run target, the Lankans were skittled for 94 in 15.2 overs. All five Bangladesh bowlers were among the wickets. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain (3-18) finished off the match by having No. 10 batter Binura Fernando stumped.
Earlier, visiting team captain Litton Das scored a 50-ball 76, his first T20 half century after 13 games, to propel Bangladesh to 177-7 in 20 overs.
Sri Lanka had won the T20 opener by seven wickets with an over to spare on Thursday. They won the two-match Test series 1-0 and three-match ODI series 2-1 before that.
