The young blood in Iran learnt from the Green Movement of 2009 that it is not always helpful to put political leaders at the head of a movement as they can be taken down. Therefore, the current revolutionary movement in Iran is a decentralised modern grassroots movement that emerged from civil society and is coordinated by civil society.
