Fresh airstrikes by the Syrian regime on the besieged rebel-held enclave of Eastern Ghouta killed at least 14 civilians on Sunday night, a monitor said on Monday.

The latest deaths brought to more 715 the number of civilians, including scores of children, killed since regime and allied Russian forces intensified their campaign in February.

Ghouta has been surrounded by Assad's forces since 2013, but the past two weeks have seen intense bombings in Ghouta by the Assad regime. According to the Syrian regime, the bombings in Ghouta are the final ground assault to reclaim the region from rebel groups.

According to Rami Abdel Rahman, the head of the Britain-based Observatory, at least 166 of them were children. Amid bombings and horror, several Syrian children are taking to social media to show Ghouta's ground reality to the world, seeking also help.

Muhammed Najem, 15, who lives in the heavily bombarded area of Eastern Ghouta in Syria, first tweeted in early December 2017, reported Business Insider.

"I am Muhammed Najem I am fifteen years old I live in the eastern Gouta," Najem tweeted on December 7. "I will convey to you all the events which is being commited by the assad rigime in the Eastern Gouta through my own social media Facebook and Twitter."

"Hello Amirecan people," Najem tweeted on March 1. "We are people of Eastern Gouta The world watching us die of hunger and bombing Look at this destruction This is similar to Europe before 80 years ago But We live today in twenty first century # Help us and donot be like the rest of the world."

In the latest post, Najem wrote that his school has become a target "for Putin and Assad's crimes".

Najem, who says he wants to be a reporter, has since posted several heartbreaking photos and videos of children and adults killed in airstrikes, some of whom he says were his friends.

In one of Najem's most gut-wrenching videos, he's standing on a rooftop speaking to the camera, Business Insider added.

"We are killed by your silence," Najem says to the camera. "Bashar al-Assad, Putin and - " a bomb suddenly hits, and he pauses, clearly shaken, before finishing, "Khamenei. Khamenei killed our childhood."

Other media organizations such as CNN , The Guardian and BuzzFeed News have also reported on Najem. Kenan Rahmani, who works with the Syria Campaign, told BuzzFeed Newsthat his sources in the region have said that Najem is "legit."

Syrian government air strikes and shelling on Wednesday destroyed the home of two young girls who have been tweeting about their life inside Eastern Ghouta.

Noor, 10, and her sister, Alaa, 8, have been posting since October 2017 about the realities of living under siege and how they have survived bombardment.

A video posted on their Twitter account showed the two girls crying and screaming as dust surrounds them moments after the bombs had hit their home.

On February 22, Noor can be seen holding her sister Alaa and showing to the camera how her younger sibling was injured in the attack, reported Middle East Eye.
