With just two days left for the first phase polling for seven-phase Lok Sabha elections, leaders of all political parties are engaged in hectic campaigning.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was addressing a rally in Maharashtra's Latur ht out at the Congress and held it responsible for the creation of Pakistan.  "Had Congress leaders acted wisely during the pre-independence era, this Pakistan would not have born," Modi said.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul gandhi hit out at the BJP's manifesto, terming it the "voice of "an isolated man".  "The BJP Manifesto was created in a closed room. The voice of an isolated man, it is short sighted and arrogant," he said.

Smriti Irani will file her nomination papers in Amethi for the Lok Sabha polls on April 11
 
Union minister and BJP candidate Smriti Irani will file her nomination papers for the Lok Sabha polls on April 11, party sources in Amethi said on Tuesday.
 
Irani will be accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, BJP in-charge for Amethi Mohsin Raza, state minister and MLA Jagdishpur Suresh Pasi, besides others, at the time of filing her nomination, party sources said.

Congress manifesto, Pak speak same language on Kashmir related issues: PM Modi

PM Modi also said that killing terrorists by entering their den is New India's policy. "To kill terrorists right in their dens is the policy of New India."

PM Modi said, "Congress manifesto, Pakistan  speak the same language on Kashmir related issues."

Addressing a rally in Latur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Your blessings, trust gave me the strength to do big works. Your trust my biggest accomplishment in the last five years."


BJP Leader Smriti Irani reacts after Rahul Gandhi's tweet over BJP manifesto

"When it comes to reality of his own constituency, people get to know that despite being an MP for so long he hasn't been able to develop it. Despite having a vision, there's a question mark on his efficiency as the nation knows the condition of Amethi. On one hand there's an efficient government which has taken resolution to build a New India, on the other there's a man who stays restricted to making announcements," she said.


 Case registered against BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj

 A case has been registered against Bharatiya Janata Party MP Sakshi Maharaj for alleged violation of model code of conduct.

The BJP Manifesto was created in a closed room: Rahul Gandhi

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi tweeted about the difference between the Congress manifesto and Bharatiya Janata Party manifesto.

He tweeted, "The Congress manifesto was created through discussion. The voice of over a million Indian people it is wise and powerful. The BJP Manifesto was created in a closed room. The voice of an isolated man, it is short sighted and arrogant."


BJP election manifesto 'Jhansa Patra', 'bubble of lies': Congress

The Congress on Monday dubbed the BJP's election manifesto a "Jhansa Patra" (deception document) and a "bubble of lies" and said it would have been better had they issued a "maafinama" instead.
