Actor Prabhas has come forward to lend financial support to veteran Tollywood actor Fish Venkat, who is currently in the ICU in a critical condition, and urgently needs a kidney transplant that costs a whopping amount of Rs 50 lakh. Venkat's family is also in search of a donor.
In an interview with One India, Fish Venkat's daughter Sravanthi shared that Prabhas' team has helped them financially. She also urged other actors of the industry to support and help find a donor.
Sravanthi said that they need around Rs 50 lakh for Fish Venkat’s kidney transplant, and the Salaar star has promised to help them. She said her father urgently needs the transplant.
"Daddy is very unwell and in a serious condition. He’s in the ICU and requires a kidney transplant, which will cost us at least Rs 50 lakh. Prabhas’ assistant reached out to us and assured financial support. They asked us to keep them informed when the transplant takes place so they can cover the cost," she said.
While the financial problem seems to be solved, the biggest challenge is finding a suitable kidney donor. Fish Venkat’s daughter said that there is no one in the family who is fit to be the donor. So, Sravanthi urged other prominent Tollywood stars like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR, to help them.
She said, "Be it Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, or Jr NTR, I hope they help us find a donor for my father. He has worked in such good films with all of them. No one seems to care about him now. I request everyone to please help my father."
Fish Venkat, who is known for comedy and villainous roles, has starred in films like Bunny, Adhurs, Dhee, Coffee with a Killer, Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma and DJ Tillu, among others.
