Hundreds of people under quarantine at government facilites will soon get a new set of books, including a compilation of Prime Minster Narendra Modi's speecehs, to keep them company, according to a report in the Business Standard.

“We regularly distribute the copies of these speeches to various dignitaries, as well as to schools and colleges on various occasions,” a source, aware of the development, told Business Standard.

With the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in India rising to 147, the list of people placed under quarantine at government facilities is continuously growing.

The government has cancelled most visas till April 15 and all international passengers coming to India are being screened at airports.

Anyone who shows symptoms of coronavirus -- fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat -- is being compulsorily quarantined.

With numerous quarantine centres set up across the country, the facilities at these centres varies according to the state. So far, none of the centres has any reading material.
