Guests can tour the on-site greenhouse and vegetable gardens.Tij Observatory, Stellendam, NetherlandsTaking inspiration from a tern's egg, Tij Observatory is a splendid bird-watching observatory in the Scheelhoek nature reserve. It is built out of sustainable wood and clad in thatched reeds. The observatory can be reached via a tunnel built from recycled bulkheads which minimises disturbances for birds. The end point of walking around the observatory terminates at a egg-shaped bird hide from where you can view hatching terns and all the other species that live in and around the water.
