The band dropped a tease of their first studio album, since their first original music album A Bigger Bang in 2005, on their Instagram. The Last Studio Album - A Bigger Bang (2005)
The Rolling Stones' last studio album before the forthcoming release was "A Bigger Bang", which hit the charts in 2005. Some of the iconic tracks from the album were Rough Justice, Laugh I Nearly Died, Back of My Hand, and Dangerous Beauty, among others which marked a high point in their career.
The band’s monumental tours
Though they might have taken a break from making studio albums, The Rolling Stones did not stop from taking their music live to the fans. The band continued to take the stage around the world giving unforgettable live performances. They embarked on multiple tours, including the A Bigger Bang Tour (2005-2007), the 50 & Counting Tour (2012-2013), and the No Filter Tour (2017-2019) captivating audiences around the globe.
Celebrating multiple Grammy honors
In a musical career spanning over four decades, The Rolling Stones’ contribution to the world of music has won them numerous accolades and awards during this period. In 1995, they won a Grammy for Love Is Strong and Voodoo Lounge. In 2018 they won a Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album for their studio album, Blue & Lonesome.
The documentary film - "Shine a Light"
In 2006, Martin Scorsese directed the filming of The Rolling Stones' performances at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, which were later featured in the documentary film "Shine a Light". The documentary was released in 2008 and had special appearances by Buddy Guy, Jack White, and Christina Aguilera. The film showcased the band’s charisma and their ability to mesmerize audiences, even after decades in the industry. A song titled “Shine A Light” was also released to accompany the film. The song had a notable chart success and was placed at the second position in the UK and the 11th spot in the US.
