Religion in Islamic societies constantly binds you in a fear of being an apostate on questioning customs, rites and rituals. It is commendable to see how a small group of women has created introspection in Malaysia.
Whenever I talk about Aligarh Muslim University to its alumni, many have been offended by what they think is criticism by a westernized wannabe-feminist Muslim girl who has forgotten her roots and culture.
