First positive case of the novel Coronavirus has been detected in New Delhi, and another in Telangana, a notification issued by the Ministry of Health said. The person from Delhi has a travel history from Italy and the person from Telangana has a travel history from Dubai.

"Two positive cases of COVID-19 in Delhi and Telangana. Their travel history is from Italy and Dubai. Total positive cases in India till now is five,"  Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said.

"We are already prepared in advance and are closely monitoring other countries. We are also discussing if we have to revise any of our decisions, amplify it or focus in any particular direction," the Health Minister added.

Meanwhile, a man showing symptoms of coronavirus has been kept under observation at the Jaipur's SMS Hospital, an official said.

"A passenger landed in Jaipur from Italy on Feb 29. He was admitted to the isolation ward at a hospital after he showed symptoms of COVID-19 in the screening. He had tested negative. However, he tested positive in second testing. His samples will be sent again for testing since two different results were found in different tests," Rajasthan Health Minister Raghu Sharma said.

He stated that as the situation develops, the travel restrictions may be further extended to other countries also.

Screening of passengers is being conducted at 21 airports, 12 major seaports, and 65 minor seaports. As many as 5,57,431 passengers have been screened so far at airports and 12,431 passengers have been screened on minor and major seaports, Vardhan added.
