A week after Hardik Patel aired his fear that his opponents might try to defame him with a sex CD just before the Gujarat assembly election, a 10-minute video purportedly showing the Patidar quota agitation leader with a woman went viral online on Monday.
According to ABP News, in the video, a person resembling Hardik can be seen with the woman in a room for a brief period, but later the video was turned off.
Hardik has called it as an attempt to defame him and termed the video "morphed". He said BJP is indulging in dirty politics before elections.
"Now the filthy politics has begun. You can defame me but it will make no difference. The women of Gujarat have been insulted," he tweeted on Monday.
अब गंदी राजनीति की शुरुआत हो गई हैं।मुझे बदनाम कर लो कोई फ़र्क़ नहीं पड़ेगा,लेकिन गुजरात की महिलाओ का अपमान किया जा रहा हैं।— Hardik Patel (@HardikPatel_) November 13, 2017
BJP spokesperson Shazia Ilmi told the news channel: "He (Hardik) had anticipated an obscene CD will be released. He tried to rise but never succeeded. He has personal anger against BJP so that's why he's blaming the BJP."
Congress supporter and Social activist Tehseen Poonawalla tweeted saying: “The guy in the CD does not even look like @HardikPatel. Just a violation of someone s privacy.”
Last week Hardik had said that the BJP might try to malign his image with a fake sex CD in order to make electoral gains.
"The BJP has prepared a doctored sex CD to defame me and it will be released just before the election. What can you expect from the BJP? So just wait, watch and enjoy," Hardik had said.
