Having lost a well-fought and emotional Test series 1-0, Pakistan once again fell short in the first ODI in Lahore by 88 runs. Chasing Australia's 313/7, Pakistan had nothing to show barring Imam-ul-Haq's fighting 103 and the 96-run stand between Babar Azam and Imam for the second wicket. Baring Imam and Babar's 57, no other Pakistan batters could cross the 20-run mark. For Australia, Adam Zampa finished with 4/38 while Mitchell Swepson and Travis Head took two wickets apiece. Earlier, Australia rode on Head's fine ton, Ben McDermott's 55 and Camron Green's 40 to go past 300-run mark. The second ODI is on March 31. This series is part of the World Cup Super League Cycle and some preparation for the 50-over World Cup scheduled in India in 2023. Get highlights of of PAK vs AUS 1st ODI.

One brings two. Alex carey is gone. He tried to play a reverse sweep on the ball of Zahid Mahmood. The ball was tossed up in the air and took it time to reach Carey who had already played his shot by then to see the stumps getting disturbed by the ball later.

AUS 230/5 (39.2)

Talking about the dismissal, Iftikhar Ahmed invited Travis Head to come forward and Head did, and chipped the ball into the hands of long-off fielder Khushdil Shah. A soft end to the classical knock.

AUS 171/2 (25)

05:16 PM IST: Hundred For Head

Travis Head races to his second ODI hundred. He gets there in just 70 balls. The southpaw has been in sensational touch today. Either Pakistan get him out sooner or he might kill the game in the first innings itself.

05:08 PM IST: Pakistan Lose Review

It's a deperate review from Pakistan here. Khushdil Shah bowled it straight and the ball was clearly going down the leg stump before it hit Finch's pad. Umpire was rightly unmoved on the LBW appeal but Pakistan took a review only to lose it.

Good afternoon guys, welcome to this space. We will be providing you all the updates of Pakistan vs Australia first ODI here that takes place at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Stay connected.
