India will hope for important match-time in the practice game against the county side as they prepare for the rescheduled Test against England, starting July 1, at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
As many as 17 Indian cricketers are playing in the match. The warm-match has the provision of playing 13 players each. Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna will turn up for Leicestershire.

In reply to India's 246/8 d, Leicestershire made 244 with Rishabh Pant hitting 76 off 87. Cheteshwar Pujara however managed a six-ball duck, getting bowled by Mohammed Shami. They were the only two Indians to bat for the host on Day 2. Later, Srikar Bharat was promoted to open and was unbeaten on 31 at the close of play. Hanuma was giving him company, on 9. India were 246/8 at the close of play on Day 1. Srikar Bharat and Mohammed Shami were unbeaten on 70 and 18 runs respectively. Roman Walker claimed a fifer for Leicestershire. Rain forced an early end to the day's proceedings, with only 60.2 overs bowled.
