India U20 women’s national team will play their first international women’s friendly match against Uzbekistan U20 at the Do’stlik Stadium in Tashkent on Sunday, 13 July 2025. The first match of this two-friendly tour will serve as preparations for the Young Tigresses ahead of the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers.

Having trained at the Padukone-Dravid Centre in Bengaluru, Joakim Alexandersson’s India U20 side landed in the Uzbek capital. They completed gym and training sessions ahead of Sunday’s kickoff.

The 24-player squad features players like Monalisha Devi Moirangthem and Shubhangi Singh, who trained with the senior national team during their friendly against Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan U20, under the guidance of Vladimir Panov, are preparing on home soil for the upcoming AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup, having hosted the last two editions. After their group-stage exit in the 2024 edition.

The 23-player squad announced by the hosts contains four players who were in the senior squad during their Bengaluru trip to play India last month.

Manager Alexandersson will hope that the upcoming friendly will help his side acclimatise to extreme playing conditions, something they will encounter in Thailand. The Tashkent heat and the artificial turf of Do’stlik Stadium will present a significant challenge for the visitors.
