Nivin Pauly Files Case Against Action Hero Biju 2 Producer Shamnas For Allegedly Forging His Signature

Malayalam actor and producer Nivin Pauly filed a police complaint against Malayalam film producer PA Shamnas for allegedly forging his signature to obtain the rights of the upcoming film Action Hero Biju 2, reported PTI.

Nivin Pauly files complaint against producer Shamnas

Police sources informed that based on Nivin's complaint, an FIR was registered against Shamnas under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 465 (forgery) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document or electronic record).

As per an agreement, signed by Nivin in 2023, director Abrid Shine, and Shamnas were supposed to make the film. All the rights to the film were given to Nivin's production company, Pauly Junior. In his complaint, Nivin claimed that Shamnas acquired the rights to the film's name from the Kerala Film Chamber by not disclosing the agreement.

Nivin also claimed that Shamnas forged his signature. When everything was revealed during the police investigation, the Palarivattom police registered a case against the latter.

Shamnas' case against Nivin Pauly

Earlier, Shamnas, in a complaint accused Pauly and Shine of financial fraud. He stated that as Mahaveeryar (2022) was a box office failure, Pauly had offered to pay him Rs 95 lakh. He also claimed of Pauly promising him a partnership in his upcoming movie Action Hero Biju 2, directed by Shine, and made him spend around Rs 1.9 crore for shooting of the film.

He also claimed that the movie was also registered under the banner of his company, Indian Movie Makers.

The complainant also alleged that Pauly and Shine had later entered into a Rs 5 crore distribution deal with a Dubai-based firm, on the basis of the earlier contract which showed Pauly's production house as the producer.

Shamnas accused them of cheating him of Rs 1.9 crore, by hiding the film’s actual registration.

Nivin Pauly's counter complaint comes after Shamnas' accusations.
