This match was scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, but due to the rain threats, it was shifted to Lucknow.
Asked to bat first, the Pat Cummins-led SRH made their first fifty runs in just 3.3 overs, making that the second occasion in Lucknow when they made 50 runs in just 21 balls of the innings.

Abhishek Sharma made a quick 34 off 17 balls, whereas Travis Head contributed 17 runs. Ishan Kishan made an unbeaten 94 runs off 48 balls, including seven fours and five sixes.
Heinrich Klaasen (24) and Aniket Verma (26) played quick cameos, which helped SRH post an above-par total of 231 runs on the board.
Romario Shepherd was the best bowler for RCB. He took two wickets while conceding 14 runs in two overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Lungi Ngidi, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya shared one wicket each.
In response, Virat Kohli and Phil Salt started well and added 80 runs in just seven overs. After their departure, Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma also followed them into the pavilion.
The middle-order consisting of Krunal Pandya, Shepherd and Tim David failed miserably in front of the SRH bowlers. RCB were bowled out for 189 runs.
Cummins took three wickets, whereas Eshan Malinga grabbed a couple of wickets. Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, Harsh Dubey and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each.
Ishan Kishan was given the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of 94 runs.
After this win, RCB slipped to third place in the points table with 17 points. SRH are in eighth place with 11 points in 13 matches.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Kolkata Knight Riders in their next and last IPL match in Delhi on Sunday. RCB will play against LSG at the same venue on Tuesday.
