India Vs Australia Match Report, 3rd T20I: IND Beat AUS By 5 Wickets, Level Series 1-1

India clashed against Australia in the third T20I of the fiive-match series at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart on Sunday, November 2. Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and elected to field first.

Australia posted a challenging total of 186 for 6 at the Bellerive Oval after being put in to bat by India. Tim David exploded with a brutal 74 off 38, while Marcus Stoinis added 64 off 39 to anchor the innings. India’s attack wasn’t without threat though: Arshdeep Singh returned from the bench to claim 3-35, and Varun Chakaravarthy turned the tide with two wickets in two balls in the middle overs.

Chasing 187, India got off to a brisk start with Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill laying the foundation. But Australia fought back via clever short-balls from Nathan Ellis, who removed both opening batters and registered three wickets. India were in trouble at 119/4 after 12 overs, but the momentum swung again.

The turning point came when Washington Sundar walked in and produced a blistering 49 not out off 23, chaining together big hits and disciplined singles. Alongside him, Jitesh Sharma and others kept the required run-rate in check. India reached their target in just 18.3 overs, clinching a five-wicket victory and levelling the series 1-1.
