With the Supreme Court clearing the way for construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, BJP leader Uma Bharti on Saturday hailed party veteran L K Advani's role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement as she welcomed the court's order.

"The divine judgement of the Supreme Court is welcome," Bharti tweeted.

"A tribute to all those who laid down their lives for this work and a tribute to Advani Ji, under whose leadership all of us put our best at stake for this great work," she added.

Bharti, speaking to the media, said that the Supreme Court's verdict was both unbiased and exalted.

She said that she has come down to visit L K Advani so that she can "bow her head" in front of him in deference. She said it was because of his challenge to "pseudo-secularism" that we are able to see this day today."

"Court ne ek nishpaksh kintu divya nirnaya diya hai. Main Advani ji ke ghar mein unko maatha tekne aayi hoon, Advani ji hi veh vyakti the jinhone pseudo-secularism ko challenge kiya tha...unhi ki badaulat aaj hum yahan tak pahunche hain," she told ANI.

She also praised late Vishwa Hindu Parishad stalwart Ashok Singhal for spearheading the movement.

The former Union minister, who was a key figure herself in the saffron agitation, said Advani's devotion to temple cause is at the root of the BJP's success and it is coming back to power for another term.

Advani, she said, changed the communal motives ascribed to the issue of nationalism and showed that it can change the country, she told reporters.
