A total of 114 cases of Coronavirus, including 17 foreign nationals, have been confirmed across India.

The global pandemic has now sickened more than 1,62,000 people and left more than 6,000 dead, with thousands of new cases confirmed each day. The number of coronavirus cases in India has now risen to 114, with Maharashtra reporting the highest followed by Kerala.

Extending the border restrictions in view of the outbreak, the government has suspended travel and registration of pilgrims to Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara through the corridor from Sunday midnight.

In a video conference of SAARC members, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed setting up a COVID-19 emergency fund with India committing USD 10 million initially for it, and asserted that the best way to deal with the pandemic was by coming together and not growing apart.

8:41 PM: The IMF on Monday called for increased coordinated action to boost confidence and provide stability to the global economy, amidst fast spread of coronavirus that has killed over 6,500 people worldwide and resulted in lockdown-like situations in several countries.

"Many governments have already taken significant steps, with major measures being announced on a daily basis - including yesterday's bold, coordinated moves on monetary policy," International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said in a blog post.
