The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has, on its official website, put out a list of helpline numbers to assist the people even as the fears over the novel Coronavirus continue to rise. The government has also released a state-wise break up of people affected by the virus, which originated in China's Wuhan.
On Thursday, Delhi recorded its sixth case of coronavirus, taking the total number of affected people to 73 in India.
A day earlier, The new coronavirus outbreak "is a controllable pandemic" if countries step up measures to tackle it, the head of the World Health Organisation said on Thursday.
WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus acknowledged on Wednesday that the global outbreak of the new coronavirus could now be considered a pandemic -- a disease actively spreading globally.
