Nepal captain Rohit Paudel-led Lumbini Lions won the toss and opted to field first against Dipendra Singh Airee's Sudurpaschim Royals—a decision they later regretted.
Sudurpaschim Royals posted a commanding total of 187/4 in 20 overs, with Saif Zaib leading the charge. His smashed a solid knock of 90 runs off 60 balls, which included 6 boundaries and 5 sixes.
In reply, Dipendra Singh's side restricted Lumbini Lions to just 142/9 in 20 overs. Despite a valiant effort from Bibek Yadav, who scored 77 off 54 balls with 3 boundaries and 7 sixes, the Lions fell short.
Zaib and Brandon McMullen were the standout bowlers, each claiming three wickets and dismantling the Lions' batting line-up.
Rohit Paudel's struggles continued as he managed only 5 runs off 6 balls, another disappointment for the Nepal captain.
Zaib's match-winning performance earned him the Player of the Match award, while Naresh Budhayer's breathtaking catch to dismiss Surya Tamang off Zaib’s delivery was awarded the Catch of the Match.
