As the row over Kunal Kamra's stand-up show continues, Maharashtra Police have now issued summons for the audience members who were present for the comedian's show 'Naya Bharat'.

As per a report by News18, the Maharashtra Police has served notices to people who attended the show at Unicontinental's Habitat Studio. The report added that summons have been issued under CRPC Section 179.

Under this, police are authorised to bring in witnesses and interrogate them.

This development comes after Khar police officials reached Kunal Kamra's Mahim home to find out if the comedian was present there.

After learning of this, Kamra took to X and posted a message to the police that it was a "waste of time" to search for him at an address he hasn't lived at for 10 years.
