The window to apply for NEET MDS counselling 2025 round 2 closes today, July 15. Candidates who wish to participate in the second round of counselling must register on the official website mcc.nic.in  before the end of the day. This round is being conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admissions to Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses in government, deemed, and central universities across India.

The seat allotment results for round 2 will be declared on July 18, followed by reporting at allotted colleges from July 19 to July 27. A total of 1,574 MDS seats are available under various institutions this year.

NEET MDS counselling round 2 eligibility

The counselling is open to candidates who qualified NEET MDS 2025 and are eligible under the All India Quota (AIQ), central universities, or deemed universities. The registration fee is ₹1,000 for general category candidates and ₹500 for SC, ST, and OBC candidates under AIQ. For all candidates applying to deemed universities, the registration fee is ₹5,000. A separate refundable security deposit is also applicable.

Notably, the cut-off scores for NEET MDS 2025 have been revised, offering relief to several aspirants. The updated qualifying marks are:

  • General - 261 (50th percentile)

  • SC, ST, OBC - 227 (40th percentile)

  • General PwD - 244 (45th percentile)

  • SC/ST/OBC PwD - 227 (40th percentile)

How to register for NEET MDS counselling round 2?

  1. Visit mcc.nic.in

  2. Click on “PG Medical Counselling”

  3. Select “New Registration”

  4. Enter your NEET MDS 2025 roll number and personal details

  5. Pay the registration and security deposit fee

  6. Choose and lock your preferred courses and colleges

  7. Submit and save the application

The choice filling and locking process will remain open until July 16, and is a crucial step in securing a seat. MCC will conduct four rounds of counselling in total, including a stray vacancy round. The round 3 registration will be held from August 1 to 5.

Candidates are advised to double-check all details before submitting their preferences and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria for their selected institutions.
