Kuberaa, led by Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Rashmika Mandanna, is all set to have its digital premiere this July. The intense crime thriller, directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, hit the screens on June 20. It received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Kuberaa is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on July 18. "a simple man, and the not so simple journey of his redemption arc ✨#KuberaaOnPrime, July 18," wrote the streaming platform, sharing a new poster on its Instagram handle.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai's underbelly, Kuberaa revolves around the story of Deva Kallam (Dhanush), a beggar from Tirupati who gets entangled in a dangerous conspiracy. When Neeraj Mithra (Jim), a powerful businessman finds out about a hidden oil reserve, he blackmails ex-CBI officer Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna) into helping him to take control of it. Deepak, using Deva, plans a conspiracy but when the latter escapes, things become chaotic. Sameera (Rashmika) helps Deva who tries to understand and survive the world which is new to him. Dhanush's powerful performance has been highly praised and many have called it his 'best' till date.
Earlier, at the pre-release event of the film in Hyderabad, the National award-winning actor revealed that he begged on the streets of Tirupati in character.
"I agreed to the film immediately, trusting the director’s name and reputation. But in the end, he made me beg on the streets of Tirupati. Kuberaa is my 51st Tamil film and my second Telugu film after Sir. In fact, Sekhar Sir had approached me with the script of Kuberaa even before Sir," he said.

As per Sacnilk, Kuberaa has collected Rs 87.54 crore nett in India, in 21 days. It had a solid start by earning 14.75 crore. The positive word of mouth helped the movie in its earnings.
