Alex Garland's Warfare To Hit Indian Theatres In April; Check Out Release Date

Alex Garland has co-written and directed Warfare with former US Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza.

Warfare, a war drama is set to hit the Indian theatres this April. Helmed by acclaimed director Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Men and Civil War), has co-written and directed the film with former US Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza. Warfare will release in India on April 11. It is being distributed in India by PVR INOX Pictures, reported PTI.

Warfare marks second collaboration of Garland and Mendoza. The latter served as the military supervisor for Garland’s Civil War (2024).

Starring Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura and Cailee Spaeny, Civil War is about a group of journalists traveling from New York to Washington, D.C. to document the impact of a second American Civil War. The movie reportedly earned $68.7M at the domestic box office.

Warfare is about a 2006 surveillance mission in Iraq, based on the memories of Mendoza and the soldiers who was part of it. It revolves around the story of a platoon of American Navy SEALs in the home of an Iraqi family, who overwatches the movement of US forces through insurgent territory. The film shows real time experience of Iraq War mission.
