Here is City's line-up for the face-off with Burnley tonight:
Starting XI: Donnarumma, Nunes, Dias (C), Gvardiol, O’Reilly, Nico, Reijnders, Savinho, Foden, Doku, Haaland
Substitutes: Trafford, Stones, Ake, Kovacic, Bernardo, Bobb, McAidoo, Mukasa, Lewis
And here is Burnley's line-up for the daunting away challenge of Man City:
Burnley are winless in their last 19 league visits to City (D6 L13), since a 5-2 win in March 1963. The Clarets have also lost each of their last seven Premier League games at the Etihad, and Parker will need a minor miracle to end that drab streak this time round.
City have also won each of their last 13 meetings with Burnley in all competitions by a ridiculous aggregate score of 46-2.
We are off at Etihad Stadium. Man City kicking from left to right and Burnley from right to left in the first half. The hosts' Manchester rivals United have lost 1-3 to Brentford minutes back and the crowd is rejoicing in their defeat with chants around the under-fire Ruben Amorim.
Man City have the lead in the 12th minute! And it's via an own goal, as Phil Foden's close-range shot takes a deflection off Burnley defender Maxime Esteve. Jeremy Doku had set up the move, and Guardiola's men seize control after an authoritative start.
Over at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace have scored in the ninth minute to go in front against Liverpool. The Reds have conceded the lead for the first time in a Premier League game this season.
Burnley equalise in the 38th minute! Jaidon Anthony responds well to Quilindschy Hartman's cross, directing a low shot towards goal, which takes a deflection off Ruben Dias to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The referee blows the whistle after three minutes of added time in the first half. Burnley have done well to stay in the game and Jaidon Anthony's leveller means Man City have a task on their hands after the break.
The players return from the lemon break. Man City now attacking from right to left and Burnley from left to right. Lyle Foster creates an early chance for the Clarets, and Cityzens just about keep it out. Burnley are at it again.
City restore their advantage! Erling Haaland sets it up, knocking down Gvardiol's cross for Matheus Nunes, who volleys the ball in superbly in the 61st minute.
There comes City's third, and horrifically for Burnley, it is another own goal from Maxime Esteve. Trying to keep out Oscar Bobb's shot, Esteve ends up deflecting the ball into his own net and Guardiola's men are now well on their way to victory.
At Stamford Bridge, Brighton have equalised in the 77th minute against Chelsea. Danny Welbeck heads the Seagulls level from Yankuba Minteh’s cross. Red cards are really costing Chelsea at the moment.
There comes something nearly inevitable: an Erling Haaland goal in a Manchester City victory. The Norwegian striker drills it in from his left foot in the first minute of stoppage time, and it's already his seventh goal this term.
Oh, what a jolly late party for Haaland. Maxime Esteve and Hjalmar Ekdal make a mess of a defensive clearance and Haaland gleefully nets his second goal. The full-time whistle blows soon after and City complete a domineering 5-1 win over Burnley.
