For LSG, Mohammed Shami is rested and in comes Mohsin Khan. Aiden Markram also not playing as he has left for South Africa due to personal reasons.

Australian batters Mitchell Marsh and Josh Inglis walk out to open for Lucknow, while tearway pacer Jofra Archer takes the new ball for Rajasthan. Archer starts strongly, hitting a hard length that cramps Inglis for room repeatedly. He nearly gets the Aussie out as Sushant Mishra fails to hold on to a difficult chance, running back from midwicket.
Marsh adds insult to injury with a four and six straight away!
LSG: 12/0 (1)
It's a blazing start from Lucknow, and Royals appear clueless! Marsh and Inglis are batting with the freedom of not having anything to lose, as far as the playoffs are concerned. The openers have smashed 68 runs in the first overs and look good for many more.
LSG: 68/0 (5)
The carnage continues from LSG's openers. Josh Inglis smashes a 23-ball fifty to set the tone, and Mitchell Marsh is not far away, unbeaten on 46 off just 21 deliveries. The 100-run partnership comes up in 48 balls and RR have a lot to think about!
LSG: 105/0 (8)
Josh Inglis departs for a 29-ball 60, but Mitchell Marsh keeps going hammer and tongs. The Aussie all-rounder gets to his fifty off 25 balls and also becomes the first Lucknow batter to tally 500-plus runs in back-to-back IPL seasons. He had amassed 627 runs in the 2025 edition.
Nicholas Pooran, meanwhile, falls for an 11-ball 16 and LSG skipper Rishabh Pant joins Marsh.
LSG: 156/2 (13)
The Royals manage to pull things back a bit, producing a 21-ball period without any boundaries. But Rishabh Pant breaks the shackles by dancing down the track and clobbering Brijesh Sharma for six. The seamer then bowls a beamer that Marsh helps along its way for four, and Lucknow up the ante again!
LSG: 182/2 (16)
A slow over rate means Rajasthan are docked the fielder penalty. Jofra Archer bowls the lengthy last over of the innings, and runs out the charging Pant with a direct hit at the non-striker's end off the first ball. He then beats Marsh's attempted slogs twice before a piece of fielding brilliance from Jaiswal catches Marsh short at the striker's end. The Aussie falls for 96, and Archer follows it up with a searing yorker to clean up Ayush Badoni!
It's an excellent finish from Archer that helps restrict Lucknow to a 220-run total.
LSG: 220/5 (20)
Oh, what a torrid start to LSG's defence of a 220-run total. Akash Singh bowls a wayward first over and Yashasvi Jaiswal takes full toll with four boundaries, apart from five wides down the leg side. Royals up and away, with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi yet to take strike!
RR: 23/0 (1)
Jaiswal, the stand-in skipper, is really in the mood today. The southpaw is batting in full flow and for a change, Sooryavanshi is playing second fiddle. The duo brings up its 50-run partnership in 26 balls and is looking good for more.
RR: 56/0 (5)
Akash Singh gets rid of the dangerous Jaiswal for a 23-ball 43. But he pays a big price for it in terms of leaking runs. The left-arm pacer is smashed to all parts of the ground by Sooryavanshi, who switches gears to revert to his destructive self. Royals bossing this chase so far.
RR: 110/1 (9)
How do you describe the shots this teenager plays? Yet again, Sooryavanshi is making one fall short of superlatives with his astounding six-hitting. Mayank Yadav is taken to the cleaners, starting with Dhruv Jurel's fabulous assault and ended by Vaibhav's incredible strokemaking. 29 runs come off the over. It's a privilege to witness this, really. Don't go anywhere!
RR: 166/1 (12)
Sooryavanshi falls seven runs short of what would have been a sensational hundred, holing out at long on off Mohsin Khan's bowling. Lhuan-dre Pretorius joins Jurel in the middle, with the asking rate down below seven an over now. The Bihar lad has set it up on a platter for the middle order to finish.
RR: 196/2 (16)
Sealed with a six! Donovan Ferreira smashes the ball over wide long off to take the Royals past the 221-run target with five balls to spare. The result takes RR to fourth spot in the standings and keeps their destiny in their own hands, as Rajasthan simply need to beat Mumbai Indians in their last league game on May 24 to secure a playoff berth. It also is their first Jaipur win in the 2026 season.
RR: 225/3 (19.1) beat LSG: 220/5 (20)
With that, we conclude our coverage tonight. We will be back tomorrow with live updates from the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians clash at the Eden Gardens. Until then, goodbye!
