'Need Tuitions Before Speaking': Smriti Irani's Jibe At Rahul Gandhi On His Presser Video

Speaking to ANI, Irani said, "Rahul needs tuition classes to dream and the current video shows that he doesn't trust his own words but he relies on others.

In a stinging attack on Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani on Tuesday said Gandhi needs tuition classes even to dream and learn what to speak and what to not.

Speaking to ANI, Irani said, "Rahul needs tuition classes to dream and the current video shows that he doesn't trust his own words but he relies on others who teach him what to speak. It is a warning for the people of this country to know that he is not eligible for any electoral post."

Her statement comes after a video of Rahul Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia went viral on social media where Rahul can be seen addressing media along with few Congress leaders after the party announced the farm loans waiver in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

In the video, Rahul Gandhi can be heard saying that he will not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sleep until farm loans are waived off.

"Friends I am given to understand that Rahul Gandhi today said that he will not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sleep. This is a new low in the public discourse of the country," she told reporters outside Parliament.

Smriti Irani is among those who took a jibe on him by sharing the same video on Twitter. "Aajkal sapne dekhne ke liye bhi tuition leni padti hai??? (These days, you need tuition classes even to dream???) Irani tweeted.

Talking about development works during the four-and-a-half years long regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government, Irani said: "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, whether it is the interest of the nation, farmers or common men, every sector has witnessed remarkable improvement."

"In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the people will give blessings to the BJP after seeing the development under the BJP regime," she said.

Earlier, BJP's national Information & Technology cell head Amit Malviya too attacked Gandhi for his presser on farm loan waiver. Taking to Twitter he said, "A man who can’t speak for 2 minutes without tuition wants to be India’s Prime Minister..."
