Following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Central Government on Saturday accepted the remaining two demands of Cockroach Janta Party, bringing an end to nearly a month long agitation. Along with Pradhan's resignation, CJP had demanded Rs 1 crore to the families of all students who died by suicide and no action against any of the student protesters involved in the 20th July protest. Government accepted the demands after Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh held third round of talks with CJP. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned from his post, following weeks of intense protests over the NEET-UG paper leak and ongoing student demonstrations at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. Pradhan announced his departure on X on July 25, 2026, marking a major turning point in the standoff between the government and protesting student groups, including the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). His resignation comes just hours after opposition leaders rejected earlier reports that the government was considering moving him to a different ministry.
