CJP Protest Ends As Govt Accepts All Three Demands

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Announcing his decision on Saturday, July 25, 2026, Pradhan confirmed he has stepped down from his post following sustained youth protests demanding his resignation.

As Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan posts a letter, saying he has sent his resignation to PM Modi, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke says, “We have done it. Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned.”

Opportunistic, power-hungry political parties also infiltrating students' protest. Students should be wary of them: BJP.

On Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat says, "This resignation has come due to pressure and not Pradhan's choice or sensitivity towards the matter. It is due to Rahul Gandhi's efforts that we are seeing this happen."

NCP(SP) chief Sharad Pawar posts, "The struggle and determination shown by the youth over 28 consecutive days at Jantar Mantar in Delhi in the NEET paper leak case is truly commendable. In response to the insistent demand of the protesters, the Union Education Minister has finally resigned today. On the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, Congress MP Deepender Hooda says, "This is the first victory of the nation's youth power, the student movement. Many, many congratulations to all the students and youth of the country. This is the first victory, the first step.

"Their (Government's) pride has certainly been shattered, but until it is shattered, until there is a complete transformation in the education and examination system, we will continue this fight," he added.

After Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi said, "It is a huge step in rebuilding our education system. It's a symbolic step because he was a symbol, but it is still a big step. I want to congratulate every single student, every single youngster who came out on the streets and fought for democracy, fought for the future of this country, and defended the Constitution,"

"We are proud of you. Well done...Let me remind the government: there are still two demands outstanding," he added.

On the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav said, "This is a victory for the youth. It's a victory for the new generation who came forward with their demands. The government had to bow down."

Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi launched sharp attack on Centre following Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation and said, "Time has come to remove this government"

After talks with the government, Union Ministers JP Nadda, Jitendra Singh and CJP representative Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das held a press conference.

They announced that government has agreed to the remaining two demands of CJP, following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.

CJP had demanded Rs 1 crore to the families of all students who died by suicide and no action against any of the student protesters involved in the 20th July protest.

After Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Activist Sonam Wangchuk said, "I welcome and respect the step taken by the government and by Dharmendra Pradhan. I congratulate all the people of the country because this is a victory for democracy, and it is something we have witnessed today.

"We must continue to safeguard democracy in India. I also want to congratulate and thank the country's youth. I thank our CJP team, our brothers and sisters, who first raised this issue, as well as the volunteers who stood by them. Students, young people, and citizens, young and old, from across the country stood up for democracy. I salute them all," he added.

Patriotic songs, drumbeats and chants of "Vande Mataram" echoed through Jantar Mantar on Saturday as thousands of protesters erupted in celebration after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned over the NEET paper leak, calling it the first major victory of their weeks-long agitation.
