Pakistan Cricket Board's Media Director, Sami Ul Hasan revealed in an interview in a Pakistan news channel that it is upto India if they want to play in the Asia Cup or not. He also mentioned that his country's national team would travel to India for the 2021 World Cup, if security and visa would be provided.

"Its upto them if they want to come for the Asia Cup or not," he said.

Earlier, according to an IANS report, a BCCI source had said, "there is no way that an Indian team can visit Pakistan to even participate in a multi-nation event like the Asia Cup." Meanwhile, PCB CEO, Wasim Khan has maintained that the Asian Cricket Council will take a final call about the venue for Asia Cup 2020.

Explaining that Pakistan haven't let the political affairs come in between sport, and have always sent their national team to India. "We have always been ready. We were prepared to send our women's team too last year, but they didn't invite us. We even played the World Cup quarterfinal in Mohali. Our women's team played in the 2013 World Cup in India," he said.

"If they provide us security and visa for the 2021 World Cup, we will go there for sure," he further added.
