The MS Dhoni-led side spent Rs 14.45 crore on veteran Indian leg-spinner, Piyush Chawla (Rs 6.75 crore), England All-rounder Sam Curran (Rs 5.50 crore), Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood (Rs 2 crore) and Indian left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore (Rs 20 lakh).
