Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation on Tuesday, urged the people to download the 'Aarogya Setu App'.

The application, designed to control the spread of coronavirus, helps in finding out corona positive people present in the nearby areas. It also make data and information regarding Covid19 accessible to anyone who downloads the app.

As you download the app, it will ask you details about your health; whether you have cough, fever or breathing problems. If you do not have any such problem, you will be marked in the Green Zone.

This app, which asks the user to keep the phone's Bluetooth and GPS on,  sends you messages from nearby user's mobile phone whenver you visit a crowded area. When you stand near someone who does not show any symptoms of the virus, it will show that you are in the green zone. But if that person becomes corona positive after 10 days, this app will alert you immediately and ask you to undertake a coronavirus test.

Since its launch, the Aarogya Setu app has been downloaded by more than one crore people on both Android and iPhone smartphones.

Available in 11 languages, the app is designed for use on an all-India basis.
